Over the next few months, visitors are welcome to stop by the SW 33rd Street Beach Access in Lincoln City at specified dates and times to embark on a beachcombing “explorience” in search of agates, gemstones, jasper, petrified wood, and other oceanic treasures that wash ashore. A local expert will guide you during the approximately one-hour clinic, which does not require any sort of fees or pre-registration. Just show up ready to explore! The 2020 Beachcombing Exploriences are set to take place on February 1 at 9AM; Wednesday, February 5 at 1PM; Saturday, February 15 at 9AM; Thursday, February 20 at 2PM; Sunday, March 1 at 9AM; Saturday, March 7 at 2PM; Sunday, March 15 at 10AM; Saturday, March 28 at 8AM; Wednesday, April 1 at noon; and Saturday, April 4 at 2PM.
Winterfest Siletz: River of Dreams
The famous Siletz Bay Music Festival takes place in Lincoln City every summer and the organizers of this event have expanded to form a nonprofit that puts on musical events throughout the year to fund the big summer festival. This year’s Winterfest event is expanding on this tradition with a Siletz Sampler of festival musicians at Lincoln City Cultural Center on February 1 at 5 PM with dinner at 6 PM for $95. 54th Super Bowl Parties Galore
With the 54th Super Bowl set to take place this February 2, there are sure to be countless viewing parties in every town and city across the country. Lincoln City will be no different – if you are in town on Superbowl Sunday you will have numerous options to choose from, ranging from restaurants and breweries to house parties and community gatherings. The Super Party 54 at Chinook Winds Convention Center is one of the most popular options, with parties starting one hour before the 3:30PM kickoff time and 12 giant screens to ensure every seat is a good one. All guests will receive one entry ticket for the virtual drawings that will take place throughout the afternoon, a no-host bar will be available, and there will be stadium-style food for sale.
