In Unexploded Cow you amass herds of mad cows and march them through the French countryside in search of unexploded ordnance from the First and Second World Wars. When one of your cows explodes, you get money. It’s a very fun game for groups of two to six, and each round goes only about 25 minutes.
Our fourth and final suggestion is Settlers of Catan. A global sensation when released, it pits settlers against each other to have the most dominant settlement on a deserted island. This game can be somewhat more cutthroat than the others, so it is a great one for families and friends who like some more intense competition over something that ultimately doesn’t matter — so it’s great for a “night in” at your cozy, homey beach home rentals.
