Hiking and Photography Lessons Combined!

That’s why Jeri Knudson and Bob Gibson of Lincoln City’s Blue Water Photography have started offering photography hiking clinics. This spring and summer, you can take a two-hour workshop with these two professionals who bring decades of experience to their craft. The clinics includes an hour of hiking and image-capturing in some of the area’s premiere hiking locations and another hour in the studio for sharing and Q&A.

There are plenty of opportunities to register for these photography hiking clinics throughout this spring and summer, with each workshop taking hikers through a different trail for a completely unique experience. Every hike will take place between 9 a.m. and 11 a.m., and will provide new and different opportunities to capture unmatched photographs of Lincoln City’s wild side. Join other beginning clammers and an experienced instructor every Wednesday – starting June 24th – for a brief lecture on clamming followed by an afternoon of digging clams in the nearby bay. The clinics begin at the Driftwood Public Library located at 801 SW Hwy 101 at noon, ending with a clamming in Siletz Bay. Hands-on Canning & Pickling Demo
The Culinary Center in Lincoln City will be offering hands-on cooking demonstrations all summer long. On Saturday, June 27thfrom 1pm to 4pm you can learn how to can and pickle all your favorite veggies, fruits, and other food items with esteemed Chef Sharon Wiest. Summer Kite Festival
This is an oldie but a goodie! Locals flock to the annual Summer Kite Festival on the beach at the D-River Wayside, located in the middle of Lincoln City, every year to fly kites, buy kites, watch kite-flying, and witness some of the most astounding kite creations known to man. More out-of-towners also discover the joy of the kite festival every year! Food This year’s festival will take place on Saturday, June 27 and Sunday, June 28 from 10am to 4pm.
