There are always plenty of reasons to visit Lincoln City and stay in one of our eclectic Oregon vacation homes. Even when there’s no reason it’s still just a beautiful place to relax and enjoy the scenic coast of the Pacific Northwest for a few days. As February gives way to March and spring waits around the corner, though, there are some extra incentives to book a last-minute stay in one of our beach vacation rentals. Oregon awaits, and Lincoln City is offering the following fun activities to keep you entertained as you get away from it all:
Beer and Food on February 27
The Rogue River Steakhouse, located in the Chinook Winds Casino Resort at 1777 N.W. 44th Street in Lincoln City, is hosting a Hop Valley Beer Dinner on Thursday evening at 6:30. The scrumptious pairing of craft beer and steak costs $75 per person. Call 1-888-CHINOOK for more information.
A Weekend with Creedence Clearwater Revisited
The band, featuring the original bassist and drummer from Creedence Clearwater Revival, will also be making its way to the Chinook Winds Casino Resort. You can enjoy an evening with these talented rock musicians on Friday, February 1 or Saturday, March 1, both nights at 8 p.m., for only $25-$40.
Learn to Cook New Orleans Style
If you have a passion for cooking and eating, a visit to Lincoln City’s Culinary Center should be on your itinerary. This Saturday, March 1, Chef Sharon Wiest will be hosting a 3-hour New Orleans Cooking Demo starting at 11 a.m. for only $55. Considering that this price includes a meal and wine, it is actually quite a steal. Call (541) 557-1125 for more information.
Run, Jog or Watch the Race
Lincoln City’s 5th Annual Half Marathon and 10K race takes place this Sunday, March 2 at 9 a.m. Even if you aren’t up for participating, it’s inspiring and energizing to watch the runners make their way through the courses starting at Wapiti Park on Drift Creek Road. You just might be inspired to spend a day outdoors as a result.
Indoor Farmers & Crafters Market
If running or watching runners isn’t your thing, perhaps an indoor farmers market featuring local foods and the finest crafters in the area might be more your speed. The market takes place inside the Lincoln City Cultural Center at 540 N.E. Highway 101 on Sunday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
A Colorful Cultural Experience
